Dog Days
So, the dog days of August have only just begun. Here in St. Louis, it looks like this (pay special attention to the heat index):

From WeatherBug
With weather like this, it is wisest to stay away from any sort of animal fiber. I’ve got the beginnings of the Smock Top from the Classic Elite booklet Make It Modern on the needles.

Ahh, the coolness of cotton and linen. (It’s KnitPicks CotLin.)
And what is that, marking the beginning of the round? Jennie, of the blog Esoteric Knitter, makes stitch markers. Really beautiful stitch markers, with unique names for her various sets (like sock yarn!). She sent me these. I think she named them “Cosmic Haze.” Click here to buy some of her other sets from her Etsy shop.

Shown here with the envelope that had frog themed tape!

Close up. Shiny, colorful, and translucent, like a soap bubble!
Thank you so much, Jennie! (Long overdue thanks, but thanks nonetheless. Sorry, dear.)

“Dog days”… A new english/american expression to me!
That cotton linen fiber must feel nice and cool, cannot wait to see how the project will look like.
Cosmic Haze… I like that name!
