21 Miles*
This is my very last purchase of yarn until December. At that time, I hope I will have completed a semester of course work at college, so I can reward myself with the Patternworks year-end sale.
(It’s Fleece Artist Somoko in Ruby. Click on the picture to see the lovely variation of red.)
I’ve been getting rid of yarn, too. Some going to charity, some destashed on Ravelry, some even knitted up. I’ve got so much yarn and so much just plain stuff that I feel overwhelmed. My desk is always cluttered, my room always disorganized, my closet always a mess.
I feel rather as if I were drowning when I’m in my house. My impulse to buy and buy more is making me miserable instead of helping me feel better. Retail therapy does not work for me (though your results may vary).
So. Maybe I’ll try the opposite. I’ll give stuff away.

Up for grabs: Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Thin, Zen String Harmony Fingering, and 4 balls of Habu Silk Wool A-113
Leave a comment and I’ll draw three names from those (possibly the whole of my readership). Comments will be closed Saturday, April 19. Comments have been closed.
*The amount of yarn currently in my stash. Guh.

That’s a gorgeous color of FA.
You don’t have to put me in your contest, just wanted to say hey.
I’m sure you’re gonna have a great semester. And what a fantastic idea to treat yourself in December.

Hi There!
I got here through your Rav Trade/Sale page. Was drooling over your sock yarn, and found out about your blog. I’m really sorry about the pink socks! I hope you at least had some good mileage out of it.

I love your Zen String, today’s my birthday and my son spent the day puking, a little joy maybe? I love your blog, I’ll be back to read more

There is something almost freeing about not buying yarn all the time. I keep getting very tempted by sales but I have a huge stash already… However I have to admit when I quit buying yarn I started buying more books so it was sort of a financial wash;) Although the Jo Sharp at webs might need to come home with me. That fleece artist is gorgeous.

Best wishes with the yarn moratorium! I know how you feel. Well, at least with the overwhelmed part!

I just went to Ravelry to purchase this yarn from you. I would LOVE to win it as I adore Angelina’s yarn! Got my fingers crossed!

That is some gorgeous yarn, I was looking to buy it from you on Rav too. I would love to be entered.

A break is not a bad thing at all…. I gave up on trying to take a yarn break, but I’m doing ok on purging the house of lots of other stuff. A good decluttering session or three does help tremendously with that “drowning in stuff” feeling.

I’m trying to go on a yarn diet, too! If I were to win any of your sock yarn, it would be used to make socks for the Socks for Soldiers Yahoo group. The socks would be sent to soldiers overseas to let them know that we haven’t forgotten them. It’s a good organization!

Yes, too much stuff can be bad! I had this problem with shoes for a while… Congratulations on making the brave decision to get rid of some of it!
