Perfectionist?
So Crystal asked me if I’m a perfectionist. I normally answer comments by e-mail, but I thought this would be a good opportunity to post since I haven’t got much on the progress front.
Exhibit A:

See that incongruent line of brown near the bottom of the picture, 4 inches from the needles? That’s an example of when I inadvertently zoned out and messed up the color dominance.
Exhibit B, two minutes later:

Yes, I am a perfectionist.

Oh how I hate to rip but I do it every time (well almost every time anyway). Sometimes I’ll tell myself that even I won’t notice the error and I’ll knit a few more rows and I keep seeing the tiny little mistake and it drives me nuts and I end up ripping (or otherwise fixing).
This is one of the reasons that I don’t like toe up socks. I have yet to find a heel that satisfies my perfectionist streak.

I found a mistake in thermal about 8 inches back I so feel your pain.

I know. Me too. I feel your pain. That was actually how I knew. When I make a mistake I rip back as far as possible, one time I didn’t and regret it. I can’t bring myself to wear the socks anymore. So…it’s worth re-knitting.

You are not alone in that department!! I rip and rip and rip until I am pleased with the result. It certainly makes for a longer knitting project! Hope you make your deadline.
p.s. What is your email?
